On April 7, following the final assessment and the presentation of certification certificates, the official Czech SPS Spiral Stabilization Muscle Chain Level 1 Course concluded successfully!

Rehabilitation practitioners and enthusiasts from all over the country gathered in Beijing. Under the expert guidance of official SPS instructor Lu Jinjin, they undertook immersive training in this world-famous golden system of spinal rehabilitation originating from the Czech Republic, achieving all-round advancement in both theory and practical operation.

Why is everyone learning SPS?

In today’s healthcare landscape, spinal problems affect people of all ages and occupations. Office workers with sedentary lifestyles suffer from neck, shoulder and back pain; teenagers face risks of scoliosis due to poor posture; fitness enthusiasts sustain repeated injuries from incorrect movement patterns; and older adults endure chronic pain and joint dysfunction...

SPS (Spiral Stabilizing System), the Spiral Stabilization Muscle Chain technique, was specifically developed to address these spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.

Originally created by Mr. Richard Smíšek, this therapeutic system has moved beyond research settings and been adopted by hospitals and rehabilitation facilities across dozens of countries including the Czech Republic and Germany. It is even covered by medical insurance schemes, becoming a core intervention for the prevention and treatment of spinal disorders. Its core principle is to correct imbalances between vertical muscle chains and spiral muscle chains. When spiral muscle chains fail to dynamically stabilise the spine effectively, vertical muscle chains become chronically overloaded as compensatory structures, which leads to a range of issues including intervertebral disc degeneration, spinal deformities and chronic pain.

Through targeted training of its four unique spiral chains (TR, LD, SA, PM), the SPS method precisely activates deep spinal muscles, enables segmented spinal movement and improves spinal mobility. It reduces pressure on intervertebral discs at the source and restores balanced musculoskeletal function.

What’s more surprising is that SPS can be applied in far more scenarios than imagined:

✅ Spinal Rehabilitation: manage scoliosis under 20 degrees, improve herniated/bulging intervertebral discs, and relieve chronic back pain
✅ Posture Correction: fix postural issues such as rounded shoulders, kyphosis and false hip width, helping improve body shape and posture
✅ Sports Injury Prevention: reduce sports injuries, enhance athletic performance, and protect the spine and joints
✅ Postnatal Rehabilitation: improve diastasis recti, strengthen pelvic floor muscles, and ease back pain during and after pregnancy
✅ Holistic Wellbeing: relieve back pain, improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety, and even regulate endocrine function and metabolism

This is the core reason why more and more people choose to learn SPS: it is not a single rehabilitation technique, but a comprehensive spinal health solution applicable to all populations and scenarios. It serves as a powerful clinical tool for rehabilitation therapists and an effective method for posture management for the general public, offering both rehabilitative and body-shaping benefits.

Course Highlights Review

This Beijing SPS Level 1 course strictly follows the official Czech curriculum. Over 4 days, Instructor Lu Jinjin seamlessly integrated theory and hands-on practice, guiding participants to gradually understand the underlying principles and master practical skills of SPS.

Day 1: Lay a Solid Foundation and Grasp the Core Principles of SPS

Starting with the fundamentals of the Spiral Stabilization Muscle Chain and its training principles, we break down the root causes of excessive spinal stress. Basic assessment movements and group training help participants build a core understanding of SPS and establish a solid foundation for further learning.

Day 2: In-depth Application – Developing Programmes for Diverse Populations

Participants learn advanced auxiliary SPS exercises for different groups, as well as treatment frameworks for conditions such as scoliosis. Four core shoulder girdle manual techniques are taught and practiced in group sessions, enabling learners to master key physiotherapy methods and manage basic rehabilitation scenarios independently.

Day 3: Intensive Practical Training – Precise Regulation of the Spine and Pelvis

This session focuses on the adjunctive use of spiral chain techniques for hip, ankle and chronic conditions. We identify contraindicated movements for scoliosis and other spinal issues, and consolidate skills via group training. An evening tutor-participant sharing session is arranged to resolve practical challenges and deepen understanding through interaction.

Day 4: Comprehensive Assessment – Master the Full Clinical Workflow

Participants learn gait training exercises and hands-on facilitation techniques, followed by an overall review and practical assessment. The goal is to progress from basic proficiency to the ability to teach and treat patients independently. Participants who pass the assessment receive official certification, completing the full Level 1 course successfully.

Core Course Highlights

1、Officially Authorized by the Czech Side, Delivering the Authentic Original System

The course is hosted by Jianheng Academy (the official Chinese training platform for SPS Spinal Spiral Stabilization Courses). The instructor, Lu Jinjin, is an officially certified Level 1 SPS instructor from the Czech Republic. The curriculum and assessment standards are fully aligned with the Czech headquarters, ensuring participants learn the authentic SPS techniques.

2、Complete System with Clear Logic

SPS is not a random collection of isolated exercises, but a complete training framework built on muscle chain balance. It progresses systematically from assessment to intervention, and from manual techniques to exercise training.

3、Immediate Application & High Practicability

Participant feedback: “I could apply the techniques with my clients as early as the second day, with immediate results.” The methods can be quickly adapted for personal training, group classes and clinical rehabilitation interventions.

4、Rich Real-World Cases with Remarkable Outcomes

The course features numerous authentic case studies: scoliosis correction, reduction of upper back humps, improved shoulder mobility, restoration of neutral posture, and more. Every before-and-after comparison draws widespread amazement.

5、Small-Group Refined Teaching with Targeted Q&A & Correction

The course is delivered in small groups, allowing the instructor to closely observe each participant’s movement patterns. Individualised manual corrections and personalised guidance are provided to resolve specific challenges, maximising learning outcomes.

Participant Feedback

After four days of intensive study, every participant has gained tremendous insights, and many have shared their experiences and reflections:

“I used to only address the symptoms rather than the root cause when treating spinal issues. After learning SPS, I realize that balancing the spiral muscle chains is the key! I now have a much clearer approach when correcting my clients’ posture.”

"Teacher Lu’s teaching is extremely detailed. She breaks down theories and manual techniques step by step, and provides one-on-one guidance during group training, which helped me master the core movements quickly. I feel a great sense of accomplishment."

"As a rehabilitation therapist, being able to systematically learn this internationally advanced technique allows me to help more patients relieve spinal pain and boost my professional competitiveness. It has been well worth it!"
